“Our condo building had done very little work on updating finishes in the years prior to my presidency, so when I took office, it was time for a lot of remodeling. Jaqi, of Jaqi Green Interiors, a resident of our building, had worked on our Lobby gratis along with another resident in order to get us going, so when we finally had a budget together to do the other spaces, Jaqi was in the running with the other designers we interviewed.

Our Party Room and Fitness Room were our top priorities. Neither had been touched in 15 years. Once we started, we added the Laundry room and hallways to the list. Next, our elevators started acting up, and we took on a full remodel of those as well (it’s hard to spend that much money and time on a project and not be able to “see” a change, so in addition to the electronics / mechanicals, we did the interiors.  Jaqi researched many buildings in the area looking at finishes, lighting and flooring, making sure we used materials that not only looked good, but were functional and easy to maintain.

Samples / sample boards and budgets were provided for the various projects and voted on by the residents at our board meetings.

Shortly after the above projects were finished, our lobby floors started to buckle and Jaqi delivered a wonderful replacement. By creating a custom “carpet” inset in the entry switching up the color, size and texture of the granite used, she coordinated the new floors with all the existing brick and paneling, and the floors are sure to get us through another 30 years.”
